ACADEMIC TRAINING: Minimum age by class start date is 15 yrs.  (10 yrs for Jr.)

Includes academic training which consists of 4 classroom lectures concluded with a test each night. A comprehensive final exam will conclude academic training. Watching the open water video and completing the knowledge reviews of the Open Water Diver Manual is a requirement.

Class schedule is usually 2 week nights for 2 consecutive weeks.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: Crew-pak w/Table & Log or CD-ROM Pack w/Table & Log (Starting at $65)

POOL TRAINING:

Pool training consists of 4 pool sessions where skills are taught & practiced. You will need to complete a watermanship assessment, including a ten minute tread water and a 200 yard swim or 300 yard snorkel. This class is performance based, not time based.
 
MATERIALS REQUIRED: Mask, fins, snorkel, boots and gloves. (Starting cost approx. $220)
If purchased with us, you will receive a $50 credit toward your certification course and free pool make-up sessions, if needed.

OPEN WATER TRAINING:

This consists of 4 ocean dives conducted over 2 days (Saturday & Sunday), where you will perform the skills learned in the pool in the actual diving environment. Successfully completing these dives, you will be a certified scuba diver.

MATERIALS REQUIRED: B.C.D, Regulator, Alternate air. SPG,  2 tanks, Weight system, Wetsuit and Hood.
    (Can be purchased or rented. Rental charge is $120 for weekend.)
